Ep 76: Ian Morgan Cron | How the Enneagram can help rewrite life's broken narratives

I am a sucker for personality tests.

My favorite is the Enneagram. And while I know personality tests aren’t the end-all, be-all, there’s something about the Enneagram that deeply resonates with me.

What’s interesting about the Enneagram is that it gives you a view of what an unhealthy version of yourself looks like, as well as a healthy version.

In this episode, I speak with Ian Morgan Cron. Ian is a master teacher of the Enneagram, an Episcopal priest, a trained psychotherapist, and the host of one of the largest podcasts on the topic of the Enneagram, Typology.

He’s recently released a new book called The Story of You, An Enneagram Journey to Becoming Your True Self, where he outlines his own path to get out of a broken story he was living in, and how each Enneagram type can do the same.

Ian believes that most of us are reading off old scripts of our lives, and at some point, the stories we told ourselves as children as to how we navigate the world stopped serving us well, and instead, started to break us down.

You can find Ian's book on Amazon and you can check out more of Ian's work on his website or on his Typology podcast.
