Ep 5: Tim Fitzgerald | How news reporting and opinion have intertwined and hurt journalism

Back in college at Kansas State when I first changed my major from civil engineering to mass communications and journalism, I wanted to work for today's guest, Tim Fitzgerald.

Tim operates the website, GoPowercat.com, and at the time he published a K-State sports magazine, Powercat Illustrated. I approached Tim to see if I could work for him, and he gave me advice that ultimately made me a much better writer. And eventually, I did end up working for Tim.

Tim is a veteran journalist who has seen the industry go through incredible change in the last couple of decades, and he shared his insight and experience here on the show. Tim is also battling Stage 4 prostate cancer.

It was so good to catch up with Tim and hear how he's doing.
